Return, Alteration & Refund Policy

At NIXIE, every piece is made to order — crafted specially for you after your purchase. We take pride in ensuring that your garment fits beautifully and feels intentional. To maintain transparency and fairness, here’s our official policy on returns, alterations, and refunds.

🚫 No Refunds to Original Payment Method

We do not offer refunds to your original payment source (card, UPI, etc).
All eligible returns are refunded as store credit (in the form of a coupon code), which you can use for any future purchase.

🪡 Alteration Policy

Since every NIXIE outfit is handmade to order, we do not carry inventory for exchanges. Instead, we offer major alterations if your garment doesn’t fit as expected.

Alteration Request Window: Within 3 days of delivery.

Here’s how it works:

  • For major fit issues (e.g., too tight, too loose, misfitting length), we’ll handle the alteration for you.

  • Minor alterations like slight strap adjustments, hemming, or waist nip-ins are more cost-effective and practical when done by your local tailor.

  • You may still reach out for guidance on what’s considered major vs. minor — we’ll help you decide.

Charges:

  • A ₹70 reverse pickup fee applies to all alteration requests.

  • For a second alteration request on the same product, an additional ₹250 fee applies.

  • Alterations beyond two rounds will not be accommodated.

Process:

  1. Submit your request here: Return Portal

  2. Once approved, a pickup will be arranged (2 attempts). If unsuccessful, you may self-ship.

  3. After we receive and inspect the piece, we’ll begin the alteration process.

  4. Completion & return usually take 10–12 working days. You’ll receive updates via email.

↩️ Return Policy (For Apparel Only)

Because we make everything on order, returns are only accepted in specific cases:

Accepted Only If:

  • You received a wrong item

  • The product has a genuine manufacturing defect

Conditions:

  • Request must be made within 3 days of delivery

  • Product must be unused, unwashed, with original tags and packaging intact

Not Eligible for Return:

  • Innerwear, accessories

  • Customised, made-to-measure, or altered products

Charges:

  • A ₹150 reverse shipping deduction applies to all approved returns

Refund Mode:

  • All refunds are provided as store credit (valid for future purchases only)

💳 Store Credit Terms

  • Valid for 180 days

  • Usable once only

  • Order value must be equal to or higher than the coupon amount

  • Cannot be combined with other credits or discount codes

  • Orders made using store credit are not eligible for return or alteration

❌ Order Cancellations

As every piece is created after you place your order, we do not allow cancellations under any circumstances.
